First Time

Last night Brighton slept for 8 hours! We're in hotel in Joplin MO for a friend's wedding and he slept in his pack n play for the first time. I'm thinking I want to set it up in our room tonight and see how he does. He ate around 10pm and I put him to bed at 11:30pm. He woke up at 7:30 this morning! When he woke up he wasn't crying, just making little noises. I picked him up and hew aited till I brought him over to the couch and then laid in my lap until I was ready to feed him. Normally he is freaking out and sooo ready to eat! I'm gonna have to analyze this more and think about how to re-create this scenario. I don't mind getting up with him in the night but I'll help him get on a schedule if that's what he needs!

WOW

Jere and I layed down for a "nap" at 6:30pm LAST NIGHT. We woke up at 6:45am THIS MORNING. We slept for 12 hours and 15 minutes. WOW...
Jere: "is it morning?"
Reagan: "i don't know, check your phone."
Jere: "yep it's 6:45am. I woke up and saw that it was light outside and wondered to myself if it was only half an hour later..."
So Jere came back and laid in bed for a few more minutes.
Note: We shut and locked the front door which was good (sometimes we leave it open). We locked Lady in our room so she couldn't roam around our house finding places to pee and poo (but she didn't do either for 12 whole hours!)
We're leaving tonight to stay at a friend's house about an hour away. Tomorrow we'll drive to our another friend's wedding. We're not packed and the house isn't clean, but man we got some good sleep!

We might be crazy

We're still working on our house. We're really really close to being done. It is exciting to think about moving and relaxing for a couple of weeks. However, there is stuff that needs to be done. We are ready to be finished with this really large project.

So, when we're super motivated to work, we try to take advantage of that. Take today for instance: Last night we took the night off from our house. We needed a night off and we knew that this weekend is going to be a crazy work-on-the-house fest. We woke up today feeling refreshed and ready to go.

Reagan is going to purchase an air mattress tonight, while I start working. We are planning to work until we drop, and wake up and work some more. This is a crazy messed up idea of a work-lock-in. Imagine a Ren-Fest or an Art Fair, but with drywall mud, sanding and paint.

Maybe we're crazy, and the first night sleeping at the house is going to be a work-night. But, we need to take advantage of the time we have this weekend. If we don't stay the night, we'd miss most of the morning by sleeping in. I will naturally want to sleep before Reagan and she'll naturally want to sleep in longer than I will. It works out great this way. If I go to bed, she can stay up, and when I wake up, I work while she sleeps.

We're going to take pictures and post them later. Wish us luck in our first work-on-the-house-like-crazy-because-we're-crazy-lock-in.

Strange, But Exciting

Reagan: I am really tired this morning. Why don't we buy what we need before prayer meeting, go to prayer meeting and then go home and go to bed?

Jere: NO! I want to go to the new house and get the toilet out!

(Anyone who knows Jere knows he could sleep anytime, because chances are he is tired)

I love it. Jere wanting to work instead of sleeping, even though he is probably more tired than me! Very exciting!
