6/14/08 Saturday ~ Travel Journal

Entry
3:15pm
We ate lunch with Brian and Stephanie. We met them on the train into Rome and hung out for a bit. Now we're at the Pantheon heading to the Trevi fountain. The Pantheon is truly an amazing piece of architecture.

8:24pm
Today has been a busy and tiring day. We walked from Piazza Navona to the Pantheon to the Trevi fountain to the Spanish Steps and The Medici Palace. Then we took the subway to the Colloseum

and walked the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. Everything was what I expected it to be - amazing. It's nice seeing what surrounds all of these landmarks. I was surprised to see that the Trevi fountain isn't in a large courtyard like I imagined. It's nestled between buildings in a small opening. Or maybe it seemed small because of all the people. We just ate dinner and are planning to relax and watch the soccer game that's on tonight. I think we'll stay two more nights here at Camping Castelfusano and leave Monday morning for Florence.

P.S. I love coconut gelato! And Lemon Gelato....MMMM
