Wedding Weekend

This past weekend, Jere's friend Bob who he's known since high school got married. Bob and Nicole are currently honeymooning in Iceland. Here are a few fun pictures I took. This first one was kinda unique. It was at a church across from the church they were married in.

Just us.

I'm so conflicted

Does anyone else get that feeling like when someone you know gets married, you want to get married too? Maybe it's just me. I always want to get re-married to Jer of course (for real, not making it up to sound good)

I want to go on a honeymoon again and watch tennis in our hotel room instead of hang out on the beach...oh wait never mind that part, I always want to hang out on the beach instead of watching tennis!

I want to say our vows again and instead of looking away in nervousness, look straight into his eyes like he did to me. Maybe I just reminisce every time because it wasn't so long ago...

I loved my wedding day and that's probably why I want to do it all over again. Besides the fact that I have a great husband, of course :0)

Surprise, I'm Engaged!

My brother Joseph (Jodie) called us this past weekend and let us know he got engaged Friday night. Wow, we didn't even know he was seriously seeing anyone but it's all good! We knew he was seeing her this past summer and they've known each other since the beginning of highschool...We haven't even met her but isn't she cute?! Her name is Melodi and apparently she has stolen my brother's heart. So we'll be having a wedding in a few months!

Congratulations guys!!

Wedding Thoughts

First of all, when I attend weddings it makes me want to get married again. I attended a wedding this past weekend of TWO people I know. This has never happened to me before (that I can think of anyways) where two people I knew on separate circles of friends started dating and finished it with an "I Do". The groom wrote a poem about his bride three weeks before they started dating and he read it to her 12 days before they got married. I thought it was so sweet.

April 20, 2006
I have loved you
Since the first time I laid eyes
Upon your fair being.
You got my heart racing
Like no one ever could.
Your beauty has only grown over these years;
Your character softly building with each passing day.
I have fervently served you
By always trying my best to avoid you
For fear of tainting your lovely purity
And pushing Christ's plan.
You are the girl I will marry
And I will wait for you forever.
He read it to her July 1, 2008 and I think it emulates their relationship. Christ, love, patience, purity, service, faithfulness and trust. They amaze me. There are so many other things about the wedding that I loved but this poem was just too sweet, not to share.

Ben's Married! Woohoo!

9 People (children included) drove down from Kansas to go to Ben Grave's Wedding. Among us were Seth and Marcie(Tulsa), Joe and Jessie(Topeka), Chris Woodhouse(Omaha), Josh and Amanda(Topeka), plus Reagan and Myself.

It was a great trip. Two minivan's caravaned it up all the way to Atlanta, stopping in Nashville to hang out (with Zeb ofcourse). Here is some picture evidence of the trip:
