We really enjoyed spending our summer at the DeGroff's house. "In the four months we had together, we had the best seven days of our lives!"
Reagan and I House-Sat for Scott and Lynn while they were at camps all summer long. For June, July and August we probably saw them for about 20 days? At the most?
We were blessed to have this opportunity, because it gave us an opportunity to take on a house remodel project that we had been praying about.
Last Friday we took some time and hung out together for the evening. We had supper, played around for a while and hung out outside.
Scott and Danny collected some firewood and started a great fire in the fire pit. Reeses Peanut Butter Cup Smores completed the evening's festivities with a Bang. They were, by far, the best Smore's I've ever had!
After the fire and after the kids went to bed, we played golf and watched two episodes of Law and Order (our T.V show for the summer)..."Da Dah". That night was the last night for Reagan and I to sleep over while we "lived" there. It was sad.
We woke up on Saturday morning and we set off to move into our new house. We took a couple of loads of our stuff over. Reagan's step mother Vicki came over to clean and I worked on finishing the small detail of "making the bathroom work."
After a full day of working on the house, Scott and Lynn took Reagan and I to a Royals game. They played the Cleveland Indians. It had been a couple of years since my last Royals game. It was a blast.
Like usual. There are more pictures at our flickr account.
