River Romping

Well we just got back from a hike and it was awesome. I didn't even get to get some of the cool things we saw because my camera died! Anyways, here are some pics of the things we did.

Ruth carried Colter for 1/4 of the way and Caleb carried him 3/4 of the time.

Awesome view from the hill that we were hiking on.

Ruth gashed her ankle on the hot tub last night and decided to hike in one sandal and one samba.

River bed that we hiked in - there is a small stream which runs through it now that we went wading in the whole time.

Jamie climbed up this steep rock hill.

The enbankment carved out by water - there are lots of little holes and caverns too.

There was this sweet cavern in the enbankment wall. There were several along the river banks which water flowed out of.

Jamie, Ruth, Greta (the dog) and I went exploring in the cave a little bit.

There were several cove inlet areas in the stream enbankment.

Everything was very beautiful. We were very happy we went off of the walking path!

We tried to stay out of the water at first, but there wasn't really a path where we were walking and so we all just started walking in the water - it was awesome. We started to head back to the car and then took a side path where we found a water fall...further on down we found a pond with a rope swing. Ruth and Jamie jumped in several times with the rope swing and it looked like a lot of fun :) Now we're all back and watching Star Wars.
